In 2002, I was teaching a Gender class at Lake Tahoe Community College. At that time, I wanted to share the powerful (and disturbing) images of advertising that often depicted women as less than human. I created a PowerPoint, which is reflected here.
This reflects the earliest version of the Web site, pictured to the left.
I further developed the Web site and added a number of new exhibits. Over time, the site grew to over 3,000 images.
